Da mercoledì 20 maggio a venerdì 22 maggio avrà luogo presso il Campus di Fisciano dell’Università di Salerno il meeting del Gruppo Proteine della Società Italiana di Biochimica (SIB) "Proteine 2026".
L'evento è organizzato da un gruppo di docenti dell’Università di Salerno e da un gruppo di ricercatori dell’Istituto di Biostrutture e Bioimmagini del CNR di Napoli. L'incontro è incentrato sulla caratterizzazione strutturale e funzionale di proteine e loro modulazione.
Il convegno rappresenterà un'importante opportunità di incontro tra ricercatori italiani e internazionali attivi nell’ analisi strutturale e funzionale delle proteine e le modalità con cui tali proprietà possono essere modulate a fini terapeutici o biotecnologici. L’evento offrirà una panoramica aggiornata sullo stato della ricerca e sulle metodologie più avanzate del settore. Il programma includerà interventi di esperti riconosciuti a livello internazionale, oltre a comunicazioni orali selezionate tra i contributi dei partecipanti. Per favorire lo scambio scientifico e promuovere l'interazione tra studiosi, sono previste anche sessioni poster.
Il meeting vedrà inoltre la partecipazione di aziende leader nel campo della ricerca sulle proteine, che presenteranno le proprie attività e innovazioni.

From Wednesday 20 May to Friday 22 May, the meeting of the Protein Group of the Italian Society of Biochemistry (SIB) ‘Proteins 2026’ will take place at the Fisciano Campus of the University of Salerno.
The event is organised by a group of professors from the University of Salerno and a group of researchers from the Institute of Biostructures and Bioimaging of the CNR in Naples.
The meeting will focus on the structural and functional characterisation of proteins and their modulation.
The conference will be an important opportunity for Italian and international researchers active in the structural and functional analysis of proteins to meet and discuss how these properties can be modulated for therapeutic or biotechnological purposes. The event will offer an up-to-date overview of the state of research and the most advanced methodologies in the field. The programme will include presentations by internationally recognised experts, as well as oral communications selected from among the contributions of participants.
Poster sessions are also planned to encourage scientific exchange and promote interaction between scholars.
The meeting will also be attended by leading companies in the field of protein research, which will present their activities and innovations.
